Paul Williams
Paul comes from a theatre and dance background and is originally from a small town up north called Leigh where he had the classic Billy Elliot upbringing. Paul toured the country in many musicals and spent seven year in the musical Starlight Express.
Paul had always practices Pilates as part of his dance training since he was young. Upon leaving theatre he started teaching it, when he discovered he had a passion for teaching, too. Paul is currently in his 3rd year at University studying a degree in Physiotherapy.
Paul tries his best to not just teach the exercises but to also help everyone understand why they are performing them and what to look out for. He really likes to interact with the class, that way it helps participants to engage with the exercises.
Paul still love to dance but he just does it for fun now. He also enjoys cycling (everywhere), reading and oh...he’s a massive Doctor Who fan!

Heather FlanaganAs a competitive gymnast Heather came to appreciate the role of a Physiotherapist early on in her life. This lead Heather to her studies, where she qualified with honours as a physiotherapist from Brunel University in 2006. Since graduating Heather has had four years experience in the NHS. During this time she gained vast experience working in a wide range of departments. Heather has worked in Womens Health physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Community Rehabilitation.
Her interest in normal body biomechanics, movement and function lead her to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She uses a wide range of skills including manual therapy, Pilates & exercise therapy and electrotherapy. Heather has also gained a qualification in acupuncture, which she often uses as an adjunct to other physiotherapy modalities in the treatment of pain relief.
Heather found working in Womens Health physiotherapy a very rewarding and enjoyable experience. She learnt to really appreciate the benefit of physiotherapy in the treatment of ante and post natal women, in what should be a very enjoyable time in their lives, but can often be very painful. Heather has also worked with women following gynaecology operations such as a hysterectomy.
Another interest area for Heather is rehabilitation following Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction. She has read quite a lot of research literature on this subject, in order to evaluate the most effective method of post-operative rehabilitation.
On a personal note, Heather enjoys running, swimming and of course Pilates! She also enjoys travelling abroad and back to Ireland to visit family.

Paul has many years of experience in the management of both acute and more complex chronic conditions, in particular, spinal injuries, sports related injuries and rehabilitation, post-operative care, fracture management, hypermobility, and osteoporosis.
